UNDER CONSTRUCTION
Partial renovation of a historic home to create a two-level apartment. The challenge in this case is how to enhance the internal lighting since the apartment is in an unfavorable position with respect to the south and has a long-line shape. Together with the client, we studied a solution that helps mix the light coming from two opposite sides in the center of the house. We cut the dividing walls horizontally and made the upper part in glass. In this way, it was also possible to restore the complete view of the ancient ceiling in beams and joists. We also restored some old openings, integrating them into the design of the kitchen, thus also maximizing the contribution of light towards the interior.
