The large window to the garden - Veliki prozor na dvor

Renovation of the exterior of a villa in Croatia with the creation of a swimming pool and a living area. The challenge in this case was to optimize the available spaces as much as possible while at the same time getting the most out of the surrounding view. The desire was also to create an environment with a very natural appearance and in which the swimming pool was not a "mere blue tub in a concrete square". In this way, an unusual shape for the swimming pool was born, equipped with a "beach" area with shallow water, a waterfall that flows from a seabed full of plants and a small solarium. Adjacent to it is a shaded living area in which the structure with the pillar in an eccentric position leaves the gaze free to enjoy the view of the olive tree. In this case, the inspiration came from one of G. Michelucci's writings, "Window on the Garden".
